Demo Version 2 & More Details of the FULL release of "All Below Kaiju Zaibatsu".


Hi!

Just got back from my trip, and am hard at work developing the rest of this game, slated to be finished sometime in late July to August.  This will be done in time for SuNoFes Game Jam, so stay tuned for it.

I have recently updated the demo to polish out a small sequence of dialogue, but asides from that, not much has been changed between the June Build and now.  

If you have played through the demo, I basically moved information that concerns Drew's "#1 Mom" Mug from Chapter 4, into Chapter 2.  Asides from that, the story is basically the same... and should stay the same when the full release is out.

That being said, here are a few things that were not mentioned in the demo that will be included in the full release.

1. A more stable battle-system for rollback.

My Battle System currently is made up of two scripts that reference each other back 'n' forth.  The battle system is fully functional and most people should not have any problems with it... unless you choose to "rollback".

"Rollback" is a feature that allows you to go back into a previous part of the game, you usually can do this easily by scrolling your mouse wheel up while in focused with the game.  

Because of the two scripts, Unity loads and unloads sound assets that basically leads to a lock-up during the battle system if a player chooses to use rollback during it.  

I have a (possible) solution to this, but will put it into the full version since it will require a rewrite.

2. Additional Voices & Replacements.

I currently am using a stock baby sound for one of the characters, and plan to have one of my friends voice them instead.

There will also be new characters with their own voices.  I currently am making a decision to avoid voices in the IRL sequences (save for special occasions).  

3. The Demo will still be available to download after the full release.

...but will largely be used for archival purposes.  It will also not be updated after the full release.

Other News

I did announce in my last game "Alchemy & Cake" that I would be working on a game known as "Unite & Awaken".  Due to scheduling, I will be delaying the from its original 2022 Summer release, and production will be put on freeze until at least "All Below Kaiju Zaibatsu" is done.

For the very small amount of people who have been following that project, I apologize for it, and hope you still are able to enjoy this game instead.  "Unite & Awaken" has evolved to be a significantly larger project during a time where I am at my busiest of the year.
